We develop a mobile app, Trip2Go, to obtain approaches to encourage and enable travelers to make choice decisions to select a mode or the time of commute in order to avoid peak-hour travel, which subsequently would help to reduce traffic congestion, energy use and emissions, by reducing the number of single occupancy vehicles on highways.
3. Study of residential choices as a way to Institute Long-Term Travel Behavior Change:
The objective of this research is to capture the influence of travel-related factors on residential choices. This is a study to understand how the location related factors interact with the salient features of a house in one’s decision making.
